Myanmar's First Internet Exchange Point
Established in September 2017 as Myanmar's First Internet Exchange Point, MMIX is a neutral, industry-owned Association that provides IP peering facilities for its members.
MMIX serves as Myanmar's peering hub, offering a centralized platform for internet service providers, content providers, and enterprises to exchange internet traffic locally. Our membership is open to all individuals and organizations that can benefit from peering their IP traffic.
By facilitating direct local traffic exchange, MMIX helps reduce international bandwidth costs, improve network performance, and enhance the overall internet experience for end-users in Myanmar.
MMIX is a proud member of the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), the Regional Internet Registry for the Asia-Pacific region. APNIC is responsible for distributing and managing public Internet address space and autonomous system numbers. Through our membership, MMIX contributes to the development of Internet infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region and participates in policy discussions that shape the future of Internet governance. Our collaboration with APNIC ensures that we stay at the forefront of Internet technology and best practices.
