Myanmar Internet Exchange (MMIX)

Established in September 2017 as Myanmar's First Internet Exchange Point, MMIX is a neutral, industry-owned Association that provides IP peering facilities for its members.

MMIX serves as Myanmar's peering hub, offering a centralized platform for internet service providers, content providers, and enterprises to exchange internet traffic locally. Our membership is open to all individuals and organizations that can benefit from peering their IP traffic.

By facilitating direct local traffic exchange, MMIX helps reduce international bandwidth costs, improve network performance, and enhance the overall internet experience for end-users in Myanmar.

Why MMIX?

  • Reduces operating costs as there is no need to establish multiple links to exchange traffic amongst themselves
  • Enhances their delivery of the broadband services by reducing latency
  • Ensures better and more efficient traffic handling
  • Improved quality of service and faster experience in accessing local content

For Enterprise

  • Reduces operating costs as there is no need to subscribe multiple links from different service providers
  • Simplifies connectivity to reach branches that connect to multiple service providers
  • Improves inter-office communication speeds
  • Enhances reliability of business applications

For Content Providers
